How can we help?
Email me. I read every message myself, usually within a day or two.

Rolls and developing
How long is a roll?
3,600 frames. At 18 fps that's 3:20; at 24 fps, 2:30; at 8 fps, 7:30. The tape counter always shows the time left at the frame rate on the dial.
Can I watch my moments before the roll is full?
No, by design. To try the camera without using film, turn on Test Mode in settings. Test takes are thrown away and your roll is untouched.
My roll is full but the film didn't appear
Keep the app open while it develops. A full roll takes a little while. If developing fails or is interrupted, open the archive and try again. Your original moments are kept, so a film can always be developed again from them.
Saving and sharing
Open the archive, play the film, and use Save to Photos or Share. If saving fails, check that iOS Settings > Undeveloped > Photos allows adding photos.
Shared rolls
Starting one
Open the archive, tap Start a shared roll, name it, choose how many people (2 to 6, more can be added later up to 12) and send the invite link. By default everyone films from one pool of 3,600 frames until it's full. Turn on equal shares if you'd rather give everyone the same amount. Each person needs the app, at $2.99, and an iCloud account.
A friend can't join
- They need the app installed on an iPhone with iOS 17 or later.
- They need to be signed in to iCloud, with iCloud on for Undeveloped (iOS Settings > [name] > iCloud).
- Ask them to open the link on the iPhone where the app is installed. If it opens a web page first, tap Open.
- If every seat is taken, they can watch the film but not shoot on the roll. The person who started it can add more seats, up to 12.
The roll isn't filling up
The film develops on every phone when the roll is full. If it isn't going to fill up, the person who started it can tap Develop now.
iCloud storage is full
Moments on a shared roll are kept in the starter's iCloud. If that iCloud is full, uploads pause until there's space.
Camera, sound and zoom
- No picture? Allow camera access in iOS Settings > Undeveloped.
- No sound? Allow microphone access. Without it your films are silent, which is fine too.
- Zoom goes up to 80× on the back camera, depending on your iPhone. The selfie camera zooms less.
- Motor haptics can be turned off in settings.
Backups and new phones
With iCloud Backup on in the app's settings, developed films come back automatically when you install the app on a new iPhone signed in to the same iCloud account. A roll that hasn't developed yet is stored only on the phone that shot it, and deleting the app deletes it.
